Caesar Wedge Salad Ingredients
LETTUCE: You’ve got options! I prefer romaine hearts, but iceberg or little gem lettuce works well, too. For iceberg, cut it into quarters, and for romaine, slice the hearts in half.
CAESAR DRESSING: Whether homemade or store-bought, go with what you love. You’ll find my easy Caesar dressing recipe below, but feel free to use your favorite!
CROUTONS: Homemade or store-bought both work, but I recommend crumbling them up for easier eating and that perfect crunch.
PARMESAN CHEESE: Shredded, grated, or shaved—any variety of parmesan will do!
BLACK PEPPER: Don’t skip freshly ground black pepper. A pinch on top adds the perfect finishing touch to these wedge salads.

How to Make a Caesar Wedge Salad:
- Cut your Romaine Hearts in half, longways. Rinse well and pat dry.
- Drizzle on your Caesar dressing with a spoon.
- Add on parmesan cheese, crumbled croutons and black pepper. Enjoy!
- P.S. If you want, you can squeeze on a little fresh-squeezed lemon juice just before serving.
Now, these are perfect for prepping in advance of dinner parties, but don’t assemble until ready to serve. You can pre-cut your lettuce and have the rest of the ingredients ready to go. Assembling the wedge salads takes mere minutes.

How do you clean the lettuce
Rinse each lettuce quarter under cold water, using your fingers to carefully pull apart the leaves so the water can reach inside. Alternatively, you can place the quarters in a bowl of cold water and gently swirl them around to dislodge any dirt or debris. Once cleaned, remove the lettuce and let it drain on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
